Have you wanted to get your kids thinking about the things of the Lord? Do you know how to start the process of spiritual formation together as a family? Do you struggle with where to start or how to get your family on board? I love coming across posts that encourage family’s to reflect on the character and glory of God. I also enjoy posts that bring forth easy ideas to start the conversation and make it a habit.
Abi from Joy in My Kitchen wrote a post called The Most Valuable Family Discussion You Can Have where she articulates her passion for healthy spiritual conversation as a family that leads kids toward spiritual growth and a greater view of God and how he is at work in the world. She shares 8 questions to ask to help your kids see ways that God is working in their lives. It’s an excellent post!
Even in the midst of horrific world events, significant personal trial and miserable days in our own homes, God is at work! God’s plans have not been thwarted. God’s character remains consistent. God is doing good things in, through and for His people ALL the time.”
This simple habit of discussing spiritual things have a tremendous impact in the formation of little ones’ hearts and that’s why I’m thankful for this post from Abi!
