One thing I have loved about this community that we call Grace & Truth is the friendships that have been forged simply through reading and commenting on so many wonderful blogs. I’ve enjoyed finding kindred spirits, women AND men who absolutely love the Lord and making His gospel known.
This community is an encouragement to us. These friendships that continue to form between so many people here is what we love and want to foster. We are greatly encouraged when we read through your linked posts.
There are some times when we, as hosts, come across a post that has a convoluted message and usually we are met with grace as we seek to clarify things. It is our job to ensure that this link-up portrays a message that we agree with and can put our names behind.
One of the worst things we can imagine is if someone who doesn’t know the Lord or who was extremely new in their faith, comes across a post in this link-up that purports a skewed view of the gospel or confuses them as to what actually saves them or distorts the character of God.
As you participate with us please remember that our primary allegiance is to Christ and the message for which He died.We must be diligent to proclaim an unadulterated gospel. Click To Tweet
That is, that we are all sinners deserving destruction and that it is solely by belief in Jesus’ sacrifice – His blood being poured out on our behalf in order to pay our ransom from death as well as His resurrection – that we can ever be saved. (1 Peter 2:22–25)
We cannot have eternal life in heaven with God if we add anything to this salvation by faith alone. Good works and deeds, good “vibes”, or how kind we are to others, animals, nature, the environment, or the world, or any other thing does not save us. We want to guard the deposit that has been entrusted to us well (2 Timothy 1:13-14) and we want to see God glorified because of the posts you write which point people to Jesus.
Therefore, if you come here and find that certain links are missing, it is a good bet that it was deleted from the link-up due to not fitting within the constraints of this link-up.
- If posts are not faith-based in any way, they will be deleted.
- If posts are faith based but project a gospel that is not true, i.e. prosperity gospel, adding works to salvation, etc, then they will be deleted.
- If posts linked here have no spiritual substance or simply a link to another link-up, they will be deleted.
Please continue to link up posts that have biblical grounding and substance. Share with us what God is teaching you through His word. Share with us how your faith is lived out in the daily grind. Share with us the tough discipleship and growth you experience as you parent, work, love your spouse, etc. Share with us your desire and understanding toward ministry and reaching the lost. We are absolutely encouraged by these posts and these are what we started this link-up for!
Finally, there are several hostesses reading and reviewing the posts linked up here each week, so if you link up via The Brown Tribe, or another one of the hostess sites, and find that your link has been deleted, it is not necessarily the same blogger/hostess that made the decision to delete a link. We all work together and trust one another to make decisions.
We seek to proclaim grace and truth here, that’s why we named this link-up that title. We also ask for grace and truth from our readers and community here. If you notice that your link is gone, you may have an email explaining why (some of us send those, others don’t), but if you don’t please feel free to ask why so we can clarify.
We appreciate sharing the wonders of God with other believers and building a place where others can trust the sites associated with this link-up. We appreciate the love shown by some of you, who have experienced deletion of a link or two but who respond with wisdom and understanding, and especially when you continue to participate! We have developed some excellent bonds here, and we’re so excited for God to continue to grow this community.
Our goal is first and foremost to love, honor and glorify our beloved God with the gifts He has given us and faithfully pray that those who don’t know Him might be intrigued to seek and find Him. Our second goal is to continue to create a community of others sharing their gifts for the same purpose.
You are valuable here. We truly love you and are so excited by the amount of truth coming from you.
Grace & Truth exists to point people to Jesus! We hope this link-up will be a source of encouragement each and every week.
If you’re a blogger our hope is that you’ll use this space as a way to meet new friends within the Christian blogging community. If you’re a reader our hope is that you’ll meet new bloggers that love Jesus just as much as you do! Most of all, we hope you’ll meet Jesus here.
