For the month of March, I want to focus on letting scripture permeate through me, saturating me and overflowing in my life. I want to share verses about what God is convicting me about or what he is teaching me through His word.
For the word of God is living and active, sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing to the division of soul and of spirit, of joints and of marrow, and discerning the thoughts and intentions of the heart.” – Hebrews 4:12
I’ve always had daily quiet times, though there have been times when I’ve gone through dry spells where I have not had a desire to even open it. Sometimes I struggle with really meditating on scripture: letting it instruct me, guide me, convict me & train me; all too often just reading words on a page as if it were any other book.
All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, equipped for every good work.” – 2 Timothy 3:16-17
Over the last several months, I’ve been so rejuvenated with the Bible that I wanted to dedicate some time to share those things with my readers. This first verse has been my meditation the last week or so, I’ve been memorizing it and really thinking about these things listed. It has helped me not concentrate so much on circumstances and instead I have found myself joyful no matter what may be going on. Hoping it brings your minds to all these things as well.
What has God been saying to you? Do you find it hard to get into the Word? How can I be praying for or supporting you in doing so?
