Well, yesterday I got a call from someone in Colorado who wanted to interview me for a position. Knowing I’m not in the area, he set up a phone interview with me for today. I just got off the phone with him and I am excited about the prospect of working with his company. It was a great interview, he was extremely personable and seemed rather intrigued by my resume and my answers/questions to him during the interview. The only “if-fy” thing about it is that they were really wanting to find someone by the end of next week, and I won’t be there until a week after that. But he did say that he didn’t want to shut me out simply because I was coming in a week later. So, I am in prayer for his decision. He’ll be talking to his wife (they’re the owners of the company) and he said he will get back to me soon.
It would be a great opportunity, it’s an Office Manager position at a Medical Firm. The medical office specializes in overseas travel, with innoculations and information for any place outside our borders. It would mean working 3 days a week at the Lakewood office (less than 2 miles from the house so I can run or ride my bike to work!) and then 2 days at the Boulder office (my favorite place in CO aside from Glenwood Springs!). It’s perfect as far as work environment, compensation and benefits and it just seems like a wonderful prospect. The other candidates do have something over me, in the fact that they are there and available as soon as needed. But Jaime let me know that my resume would be at the top of the stack (though – I’m not necessarily placing weight in that statement). We’ll see what God does with it.
I’m just excited about the opportunity. It would mean I may have a job in CO before I even get there, which would be SUCH A BLESSING! My hopes are a little up, but seriously how can they not be? I’d rather be excited and then possibly disappointed than not show excitement for the prospect of working for them. Anyway, please pray with me about it. I want what is best for their company and if it’s not me – great! If it is me, even better but Lord help me!
