I just got back from taking a (really) long lunch with two great girls. I had to buy a dress for one of their weddings, and since I hate shopping so much I thought I’d recruit both of them. We hunted and hunted and finally after tracking down our prey for over 2 hours, we found a great … shirt? That’s right – I bought a shirt that fits me wonderfully, and I will be hunting down either a nice (flowy) long skirt or just buy some calssy slacks in order to look somewhat like I’m comfortable dressing up for Heidi’s wedding. I hate shopping, I hate dressing up, and since this is an evening wedding AND there’s going to be ballroom dancing and all that jazz happening, I figured that I couldn’t just show up in jeans and a T-shirt. After dreading and dragging my feet, I went into a store that I obviously would not have gone into on my own and actually found something that looks good. Me and my rugged figure, I thought it was impossible… but alas – my friends (who are both girlie type of girls) had some patience and pushed me along.
After a rather long lunch though, I’m famished and I just got done with my Vanilla Bean Shake from Haegen-Daas, yummy. Back at work, I must push forward through the boredome that’s about to set in and work with diligence in getting ready for tonight – GAME NIGHT! I kick butt at games, and sometimes words fly out of my mouth without really meaning to, especially if we’re playing my favorite game – Catch Phrase. I’ve been known to be not-so-hindered in my guessing. Tonight, we’re all headed over to the Shield’s house to wrestle around in a competition of wits, brawn, brains and cunning ability. Who will come out on top? A case to be solved at a later date I suppose….
