I’m tired of reheating leftover steak and it coming out all dry and tough. I don’t like chewing my steak for 10 minutes before I can swallow the piece! So, I was perusing the web for any tip on how to reheat it and keep it from doing that, and I found this way (though I don’t know what website it was so I could cite it here). We tried it tonight and it worked like a charm, so I wanted to share it!
- On medium-high heat, warm 1/2 – 1 inch of water in a sauce pan until steaming.
- Spread butter on top of steak – this is optional, not absolutely needed.
- Place steak in foil, and fold ends into each other to close foil tightly; make sure water can’t get in foil.
- Put foil-wrapped steak in the sauce pan, cover and steam for 10 minutes.
That’s it! It really did work great and the flavor of the steak still came out as well. You can also heat up chicken using this same technique.
